Tangent Galvanometer (Aluminum)
Tangent Galvanometer (Aluminum) – Physics Laboratory Instruments
A tangent galvanometer is an early measuring instrument used for the measurement of electric current.
It works by using a compass needle to compare a magnetic field generated by the unknown current to the magnetic field of the Earth.
The magnetic needle is free to rotate in the horizontal plane.
Feature –
- Having three standard windings 2, 5, 50 or 2, 50, 500.
- The bakelite ring with winding is mounted in bakelite base.
- The whole assembly rotates on a nonmagnetic tripod base.
- With nonmagnetic leveling screw.
- Complete with compass box.
