Slump Test Apparatus – Laboratory Equipment
The Slump Test Apparatus is filled with freshly mixed concrete and tamped with a tamping rod in three or four layers. The top of the concrete is leveled off with the top of the slump cone, the cone is lifted vertically up and the slump of the sample is immediately measured. The complete set comprises of a Steel Octagon Base Plate (8 faces) with carrying handle, Graduated Tamping Rod 16mm dia x 600mm long with one bullet end, slump cone having base 200mm, height 300mm fitted with handle.

- The Slump Test Apparatus is carried out using a metal mould in the shape of a conical frustum known as a slump cone or Abrams cone.
- The slump of the concrete is measured by measuring the distance from the top of the slumped concrete to the level of the top of the slump cone.
