Melting Point Tubes
Melting Point Tubes – Scientific Laboratory Equipment
A melting point Tube is a scientific instrument used to determine the melting point of a substance. Some types of melting point apparatuses include the Thieve tube, (Electronic) melting point tube and automatic melting point tube. Capillary melting points, either in an oil bath or a melting-point apparatus, are most often used for the determination of the melting point of a solid. A few crystals of the compound are placed in a capillary tube 10-15 cm long, about 1 mm in inside diameter, and closed at one end. These tubes are essence in the thermometers that use a liquid indicator.
Features:
- Corrosion resistance
