Both horizontal and vertical movements are made by a rack and pinion arrangement provided. It has a movement of 70 mm in X-axis and 30 mm in Y-axis. Its vernier reads to 0.1 mm.

In this model both X & Y movements can be made from knobs provided on the same X-axis. The horizontal movement is made by a lead screw guide nut arrangement and vertical movement is made by a rack and pinion arrangement. It has a movement of 70 mm in X-axis and 30 mm in Y-axis.
