• The Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) is a common hematological test for nonspecific detection of inflammation that may be caused by infection, some cancers and certain autoimmune diseases.
• These tubes are to be used with various automated Erythrocyte sedimentation rate analyzers.
• After adding the whole blood in to the tube mix thoroughly for 7 – 8 times.
• It can be defined as the rate at which Red Blood Cells  sediment in a period of one hour.
