Beehive Shelf 3″ – Scientific Laboratory Equipment

A beehive shelf is a piece of laboratory equipment,  used to support a receiving jar or tube while a gas is being collected over water with a pneumatic trough. Equipment is  uniform in quality, compact in structure, impervious to gas infiltration, good in polish and resistant to acids & alkali’s, with sufficient mechanical strength, the porcelain can withstand sudden temperature changes without cracks, explosion or deformation. Under normal condition, the glazed pieces can sustain a temperature of 1050 deg C while the glazed ones a temperature of 1350 deg C. All products are glazed inside and outside except outside bottom.

To prolong the life of porcelain products:

• Follow gradual heating/cooling rates

• Use an oven or hot plate and an intermediate step when quicker heating/cooling rates are required

• Avoid contact of heated ware with a cold surface

• Carefully inspect lab ware prior to each use and do not use any product that appears defective.
