Right Angle Prism
Right Angle Prism – Physics Optical Equipment
Right angle prism is a most commonly used prism. It has two 45° and one 90° angles. The normal use for a right angle prism is to turn light through 90° by reflection from the hypotenuse. These are also called prisms for specific applications.
These prisms are coated with various optical coatings to form cubic beam splitters and color separation cubes used in various projection systems and they are also often coated with high transmission using the hypotenuse face in total internal reflection.
Specifications:
- Nominal angles of the face are: 90° × 45° × 45°
- No sharp edges
- Excellent strength
- Crack resistance
Diameter: – 38 mm , 50 mm
